See: A Friday to Remember
by: Laurie Lyons
Finally! A Friday worth leaving the house for…there is entirely too much awesomeness happening tonight, but I have faith that everyone can make it through. Just remember-pace yourself, kiddies.
Unofficial Gorillaz After-Party with DJ Maseo
Of course, Gorillaz are playing at the Erwin Center, but if you didn’t already know that, then you probably don’t have the internets in he cave you’re living in and aren’t able to read this. Whether you’re going to the show or not, you’ll definitely want to put some extra bounce into your night by checking out DJ Maseo from De La Soul at The ND. Kid Slyce will get the party started early (around 10pm), and when you’re not dancing, you can play tennis, bowl, and whatnot on the Nintendo Wii on the 30 foot screen. I also hear whispers about some special guests mingling amongst the crowd, so you’ll definitely not want to miss this one. This event is brought to you by your friends att Knuckle Rumbler, Keep It Local, and Transmission Entertainment. Tickets are just $7 online (before 6pm), then $10 at the door. If you have a Gorillaz ticket stub, you get the discounted price at the door as well.
You can find The ND at 5th and Brushy.
Thefeedbak.com Official Launch Party
Our good friends at the new website thefeedbak.com are having their launch party at Six Lounge, and they want all of Austin there drinking, dancing, and celebrating Austin nightlife. DJ Digg and DJ QD will cover the dancing part, and drink specials including $2.50 domestics, $3.50 wells, and $5 Ghost Vodka will cover the drinking part. You have to get there early (between 8 and 10pm) to enjoy those happy hour prices all night, though.
About the site: The FeedBak is an open-blog about the Austin nightlife. It is a place for people to share their stories, anecdotes, rants and observations about the Austin club and bar scene and engage into a discussion regarding downtown-related topics and issues.
If you haven’t yet, head over to http://www.thefeedbak.com/, sign up and join the conversation! There’s always lots to talk about when it comes to Austin’s nightlife.
You can find Six Lounge at 4th and Colorado.
I really can’t have said it better myself, so I’ll just direct you to our sister site, atxgossip.com, for info about this great event featuring an open bar and a performance by MEN (members of Le Tigre).
