Update: Due to overwhelming response and desire from fans (Aaron Behrens tends to do that…), a second show has been added to Ghostland’s ACL Live stint on Friday November 18th. Even more awesome, the first 300 fans at the Friday show will be invited to an intimate and exclusive Jack daniel’s Studio No. 7 after party with Ghostland and DJ Mel playing DJ sets (you must be 21 or older to attend the after party). Tickets go on sale today, October 7 at 10am (see link below).
What happens when you combine one of Austin’s best bands with one of Austin’s best music venues? An evening of pure awesomeness is what you get. If you are an Austinite and have never been to a Ghostland Observatory show, you are truly missing out on the beautiful orgy of sight and sound that make up one of their shows. And when I say orgy, I am not using that word lightly-you’ll know what I mean when you see lead singer Aaron Behrens begin gyrating on the stage. Go ahead and clutch the pearls.
If you’re an Austinite and you’ve never been to a show at ACL Live at Moody Theater, well, you are also missing out on something truly special. This new venue is arguably the best place to see a big name act in town, as they have magically turned every seat in the house to a nearly front row seat. If a clown car were a music venue-this would be it (minus the clowns and other weird stuff, of course).
