See: Pat Green at ACL Live, August 24
The Texas Country Star Pat Green will be playing at ACL LIVE at The Moody Theater on Friday, August 24th. The show is presented by United Heritage Credit Union and will be benefit the Austin-based non-profit Kids in a New Groove (K.I.N.G.). The Texas non-profit organizes volunteers in Austin, Dallas, and Houston who commit to teaching foster children music lessons. Each volunteer is paired with a child for the majority of the child’s life, to act as a mentor through changes of location the child may experience. United Heritage Credit Union hosts many charity events throughout the year and decided to organize something that would be close to the hearts of Austin residents, through a benefit involving music.
The Grammy-nominated hit maker, and guest radio host, Pat Green is known throughout Texas as an original Texas songwriter and frequenter of Austin. Green is partnering up with United Heritage Credit Union to host the benefit for Kids in a New Groove for his ACL Live performance. The show will also benefit K.I.N.G. by hosting an instrument drive. Community members can donate a new or slightly used instrument at Strait Music Locations from Friday, June 8th through Thursday, August 23rd, or at the venue on the day of the show, Friday, August 24th.
Tickets for the benefit event hosted by Texas Credit Union go on sale Friday, June 15, 2012 at Noon. The enjoyment you experience at the show will be doubled for a kid in the K.I.N.G. program, as part of your ticket cost will be donated to the organization. Be sure to scrape your pennies together this Friday because tickets for the Chris Isaak show and the Tony Bennet show at ACL Live also go on sale this Friday at Noon.
You can find ACL Live at 310 W Willie Nelson Blvd.
